Arved Birnbaum (* 1962 in Forst / Lausitz ) is a German actor and director .

Life

After high school and apprenticeship, Arved Birnbaum received his acting training at the "Ernst Busch" drama school in Rostock . He was also a visiting student at the Humboldt University in Berlin with a focus on film and television.

Theater engagements took him between 1992 and 1997 to the Stuttgart State Theater and the Grillo Theater in Essen .

Since the late 1990s, Birnbaum has also played leading and supporting roles in film and television productions. In continuous series roles he was seen, for example, as the neo-Nazi Hartung in Lindenstrasse and as Manni Delling in Die Camper . He played several times in the crime series Tatort , for example between 1998 and 2005 the Cologne main champion Heinz Obst .

Birnbaum repeatedly worked with the director Dominik Graf , for example in Eine Stadt wird blackmailst (2006), Das Vowde (2007) and In the face of crime (2008/09). He also took on roles in television films such as Three Angels on the Executive Floor (2006) by Sybille Tafel and Thomas Freundner's July with Delfin (2007). He has also appeared in several movies, such as Carlo Rolas Sass - Die Meisterdiebe (2000), Peter Timms Der Zimmerpringbrunnen (2001), No Science Fiction by Franz Müller (2002), Lieben von Rouven Blankenfeld (2005) and Uwe Bolls Max Schmeling (2009).

Arved Birnbaum lives in Hürth and heads the vocational school German Center for Drama and Film in Cologne .
