The eldest son Carl Heinrich Friedrich Hornschuch (1766–1839) gained importance as a founder in Kitzingen . In 1774 Hornschuch moved to Billinghausen as pastor, where he died in 1794.

Hornschuch achieved particular merits by introducing beekeeping in Castell and being the first to grow asparagus in Billinghausen .
