Johann Christoph Bilhuber

Johann Christoph Bilhuber (born November 5, 1702 in Bad Urach ; † January 2, 1762 there ) was a German Protestant pastor .

Life

From 1717 Johann Christoph Bilhuber attended the monastery schools in Blaubeuren and Bebenhausen . He then moved to the Evangelical Monastery in Tübingen in 1722 . In 1730 he was ordained a deacon and in 1734 elected parish priest of Winnenden . From 1730 to 1733 he worked with Johann Jacob Moser on the "Evangelische Lieder-Schatz or Glossirtes large Würtembergisches Gesang-Buch", which contained 1117 songs. It is not known whether Bilhuber himself contributed to the Lieder collection. As dean he devoted himself to his hometown from 1749. He died on January 2, 1762.
