Johann Franz Born
Johann Franz Born , also known as Johann Frantz Born , (born May 15, 1669 in Leipzig ; † April 9, 1732 there ) was a German founder and councilor .
Life
Born is the son of Jacob Born the Elder (1638–1709), Mayor of Leipzig . He studied law and graduated as Dr. jur. In 1695 he became councilor and later proconsul in Leipzig. In addition, he was Canon of Merseburg and assessor of the court . His property included the manors Schönau , Groitzsch , Wildenborn (from 1715) and Sellerhausen , on which he was heir, feudal and court lord . He died in Leipzig in 1732. His cousin is the politician Jacob Born the Younger (1683–1758).
Benefactor
In 1709, 1711 and 1723 he donated a total of 1,220 thalers to the New Church . In the same year he donated 1,000 thalers for scholarships. He also donated 1,000 thalers for the hospital and 2,000 thalers to feed the students of the Thomas School , as well as 1,200 thalers to the Peterskirche .

He was with Johanna Elisabeth geb. Schwendendörffer (died 1737) married.
