Johann Friedrich Bellermann
Johann Friedrich Bellermann (born March 8, 1795 in Erfurt ; † February 5, 1874 in Berlin ) was a German classical philologist and teacher.
Johann Friedrich Bellermann, brother of Christian Friedrich Bellermann , studied in Berlin and Jena after the campaigns from 1813 to 1815, worked as an assistant teacher from 1819, then as a professor at the Berlin Gymnasium at the Gray Monastery and was director of this institution from 1847 until he retired in 1867. From 1861 to 1869 he was a member of the board of the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin . He died on February 5, 1874 in Berlin, his grave was in the St. Marien and St. Nikolai Cemetery I in the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg . His son was Gustav Bellermann .

- The Hymns of Dionysius and Mesomedes (Berlin 1840), the text and melodies of which he created from manuscripts and old editions
- Anonymi scriptio de musica et Bacchii senioris introductio artis musicae (Berlin 1841, published and explained for the first time)
- The scales and musical notes of the Greeks (Berlin 1847)
- Greek school grammar (4th ed., Leipzig 1878) together with a reader (6th ed., That. 1882).
He also edited Sophocles ' King Oedipus (Berlin 1857) and smaller writings with various contents, for example
- Ceremonial address for Margrave Georg the Pious (Berlin 1832)
- Simple reflections on Christianity (Berlin 1847)
- On Peace in and with the Church (Berlin 1869)
