Johann Friedrich Fridolin von Kageneck

Johann Friedrich Fridolin Freiherr von Kageneck , (born February 14, 1707 in Waldshut ; † April 2, 1783 in Freiburg im Breisgau ). His parents were Georg Sebastian Reinhard von Kageneck (* 1666; † 1714) and Maria Franziska Josefa von Ulm (* 1680; † 1730). He was a nephew of the land commander KK chamberlain. In 1771 he and his family were raised to the rank of imperial count by Emperor Josef II , which was confirmed by France in 1773 . He inherited the power of rule over Munzingen , Merdingen , Umkirch and others from his cousin Joseph Anton von Kageneck .

Life

On October 26, 1734 he married Maria Anna Franziska Eleonore von Andlau , Freiin von Andlau-Birseck (Arlesheim). These two are the first parents of the Munzinger line of the Kagenecks, which still exists today . They had a son, Heinrich Hermann Eusebius Johann Nepomuk Fidelis (* May 7, 1738; † November 1, 1790) and three daughters, Maria Anna Sophie, Freiin von Kageneck (* October 28, 1742; † 1789), Maria Antonia, Countess von Kageneck (* May 2, 1748), Maria Beatrix Aloysia von Kageneck, Countess von Kageneck (* 1755, † 1828).

A portrait of Johann Friedrich Fridolin v. Kagenecks and his wife hangs in Munzingen Castle , Maria Anna is shown in the costume of Tyrolean country folk. Her grave monument is on the south wall of the choir of the Catholic Munzingen parish church St. Stephan.

From 4th to 6th May 1770 he was the host for Marie-Antoinette of Austria-Lorraine on her bridal trip from Vienna to Paris , he brought her up in his city palace, the Kageneck'sches Haus in Freiburg .
