Johann Fruhmann (born April 22, 1928 in Weißenstein (Carinthia) , † January 27, 1985 in Lengenfeld (Lower Austria) ) was an Austrian painter .

Johann Fruhmann studied in Graz with Alfred Wickenburg and at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Robin Christian Andersen and Albert Paris Gütersloh . A geometric period in his painting was followed by a turn to informal art and large-scale forms.

From 1957 Johann Fruhmann was married to Christa Hauer-Fruhmann , the daughter of the painter Leopold Hauer .
