Life

The younger of the two poets with this name was born in Naumburg in 1659. Breaking with the theological family tradition, he studied law , first in Leipzig , later in Jena , before settling down as a lawyer in his native Naumburg in 1679. He made a name for himself not only as a lyric poet and pastoral poet, but also as the editor of Paul Fleming's poems. His writings have repeatedly been confused with those of his father Johann Georg Albini in literature .
