Veit Engelhardt

Johann Georg Veit Engelhardt (born November 12, 1791 in Neustadt an der Aisch , † September 13, 1855 in Erlangen ) was a German Protestant theologian and church historian .

Engelhardt studied theology at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen and was a member of the Corps Franconia II .

In Erlangen he became a professor of theology in 1821. In 1843 he was made an honorary citizen of the city.
