Johann Georg Zierenberg

Johann Georg Zierenberg (born August 2, 1693 in Bremen , † December 15, 1736 in Bremen) was a town bailiff in the Duchy of Bremen .

biography

Zierenberg was the son of the ducal bailiff of Bremen Johann Friedrich Zierenberg (1648–1716). He attended the cathedral school of Bremen Cathedral from 1700 and the Athenaeum and the old grammar school from 1710 . Then he traveled to Leipzig, among other places . In 1716 he succeeded his father as town bailiff in the Duchy of Bremen. In 1718 he traveled to the Netherlands . When the Electorate of Braunschweig-Lüneburg took over the Duchy of Bremen from Sweden in 1718 , he kept his office. In 1723 he defended the responsibilities of the city bailiwick in a memorandum.

He married the daughter of the cathedral preacher Johann Diedrich Lappenberg .
