Johann Geuder (poet)

Johann Geuder (baptized on December 14, 1639 in Nuremberg ; died on December 24, 1693 in Lauf an der Pegnitz ) was a German poet, member of the Pegnesian Flower Order , author of spiritual poetry and Protestant pastor.

Life

Geuder was the son of a beer gravel . After attending the St. Sebald School, he studied at the University of Altdorf , where he received his master's degree in 1665 and gave a speech about Democritus von Abdera . In 1666 he was accepted into the Nuremberg candidate and was allowed to hold a public disputation with his respondent Georg Riges , which was considered a special honor. 1668 he was in Altdorf ordained , after which he was pastor in Ottensoos and from 1679 in Lauf.

On April 7, 1668, Geuder von Sigmund von Birken was accepted into the Pegnese Flower Order under the name Rosidan . He took part in the work of the Pegnitz shepherds with numerous occasional poems, wrote shepherd wedding poems and funeral sermons for Nuremberg patricians and scholars, including pastor Martin Limburger . Some of his songs were included in Heinrich Müller's Geistliche Erquickungsprüfung (Nuremberg 1673) and in the Altdorfische Lieder-Tafel . Of his dramatic poems for the Nuremberg Comedy House , Das Freuden-Spiel remained. The hilarious Princess Macarie (Nuremberg 1668) received.
