Johann Gottlieb von Brodowsky

Johann Gottlieb von Brodowsky (* 24. December 1746 in Elbing ; † 18th February 1811 in Warsaw ) was a Polish colonel and last royal Prussian major general and Square Major in Warsaw.

His father was the Polish major and adjutant general Samuel von Brodowsky († June 2, 1767) and his wife Christine Beate von Coudyn from Sweden. His brother Johann Friedrich von Brodowsky was a Polish major general and heir on Klein Lissen .

Life

He came on June 1, 1764 Corporal Corporal in the Infantry Regiment. 4, . There he was on July 12, 1767 portepeefähnrich and on July 4, 1769 real ensign. On September 29, 1772 he was second lieutenant and then came on July 4, 1773 as an adjutant in the Herzberg Grenadier Battalion, which consisted of the grenadier companies of regiments No. 4 and No. 14 . On April 15, 1778 he came to General Friedrich von Pelkowsky as adjutant general , shortly afterwards on April 24, 1778 he became Premier-Lieutenant. As such, he also took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession . On January 2, 1779, he received his resignation to go into Polish services. There he joined the Crown Guard as a colonel. After the partition of Poland , he returned to Prussian services on December 26, 1795. He was taken on as a colonel and appointed place major in Warsaw; for this he received a salary of 1200 thalers. After the lost Fourth Coalition War , he received his resignation on September 8, 1809 and died on February 18, 1811 in Warsaw.

He married Marianne Adelheid Müller, daughter of the council Johann Wilhelm Müller . The couple had several children:
