Johann Harnischfeger
Johann Harnischfeger (born December 3, 1899 in Marborn , † March 15, 1984 in Schlüchtern ) was a German CDU politician .
Life and work
After attending the Roman Catholic elementary school , Harnischfeger completed an apprenticeship as a mason until he was drafted as a soldier for military service in the First World War in 1917. After the end of the war he worked as a bricklayer until 1928, then as a miner. In 1931 he became a rock cutter.
After the Second World War, Harnischfeger worked as a bricklayer again, in the housing department of the Mathias Stinnes 3/4 colliery . Since 1949 he was a member of the works council.
politics
Harnischfeger was a co-founder of the CDU in Gladbeck and became district chairman there in 1947. Since 1948 he was a member of Gladbeck's city council. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1965. He represented the constituency of Gladbeck - Bottrop there . He was also mayor of Gladbeck from 1948 to 1952 .
