Johann Heingarter

Johann Heingarter (* before 1396 ; † before September 30, 1449 ) was governor of Valais .

Career

Johann Heingarter's family, also called Am Hengart , came from Selkingen . He was first mentioned as a witness in 1396 when the Meiertum von Mörel was enfeoffed. In 1421 he was Ammann of the county and from this point on he represented the Zenden Goms several times on the district administrator. As governor, he held a district administrator in Brig in 1422 , who sent an embassy to the Duke of Milan . At the end of his second term, Bishop Andreas dei Benzi died . His position allowed him to take over the office of Meiers von Münster in 1428, 1431, 1434, 1435, 1443 and 1445 .
