Johann Heinrich Samuel Gerlach

Johann Heinrich Samuel Gerlach (born April 11, 1772 in Göttingen , † November 14, 1809 in Dresden ) was a German bookseller and author .

Life

Johann Heinrich Samuel Gerlach was the son of Johann Samuel Gerlach . He was the stepfather of the trained bookbinder Johann Gottlieb Ferdinand Ronnenberg , whom he also trained as a bookseller in the family's own Dresden bookstore.

Johann Heinrich Samuel Gerlach married Josephine Henriette Gerlach , née Sedelmeyer, who was born in Dresden in 1772 as the daughter of the court yard manager there .

Gerlach published several books, but also wrote his own essays with literary and critical content, which he published in the Allgemeine Litterarian Anzeiger in 1798 and 1799 , and later also in the Reichsanzeiger der Deutschen .
