Johann Heinrich Sierck

Johann Heinrich Sierck (born November 27, 1817 in Preetz , † May 28, 1900 in Dresden ) was a German pastor and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a boy teacher, Sierck studied Protestant theology and philology in Kiel , Jena and Tübingen after attending the Lübeck school . During his studies he became a member of the Albertina fraternity in Kiel in 1838 and of the Germania Tübingen fraternity in 1840 . In 1844 he passed his exam. For his participation in the uprising against Denmark, he was punished with non-employment. In 1846 he became a deacon in Wesselburen . In the next uprising against Denmark he was involved again, this time as a volunteer in Rantzau's Freikorps . In 1850/51 he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein legislative state assembly . In 1864 he became pastor in Wesselburen, in 1866 in Waabs . After retiring in 1891, he moved to Dresden.
