Johann Hermann Koch

Johann Hermann Koch (born May 14, 1795 in Kassel , † June 10, 1862 in Fahrenbach ) was a politician and minister in the Electorate of Hesse .

career

The son of the city secretary Heinrich Ernst Koch attended the Ilfeld convent school in 1811/12 . He studied law in Göttingen in 1812/13 and 1816/17 , interrupted in 1814 by military service as a volunteer hunter . Koch initially worked as an actuary , in 1821 became assistant secretary in the State Ministry of the State of Hesse , then secretary and from 1823 ministerial secretary. At the end of October 1830 he was appointed Secretary General. From April 1834 he was also a full member of the State Ministry. In 1837 he was temporarily entrusted with the Ministry of Justice, in 1841 with the Ministry of the Interior, which he headed as a privy councilor in 1842/43 and 1846/47 .

Marriage and offspring

Koch married Wilhelmine Philippine Konradine Köber in October 1822. The daughter Johanna married Karl Friedrich von Berlepsch on April 16, 1848 in Kassel , the son Reinhard Koch, a district judge, was the grandfather of the criminal lawyer Reinhard Frank .
