Johann Humenberger

Johann Humenberger , also Hans Humenberger (born October 12, 1963 in Haslach an der Mühl , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian mathematician . He is professor of mathematics with special emphasis on didactics of mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Vienna .

Humenberger studied teaching of mathematics and physical education at the University of Vienna, where he 1993 Hans-Christian Reichel and Harald Rindler on fundamental ideas of applied mathematics and its implementation in the classroom doctorate and 1998 habilitated . In addition, he worked as a teacher at various Viennese high schools from 1988 to 2000 . After 2000 he held academic positions at the University of Dortmund and the University of Duisburg-Essen before returning to the University of Vienna as a professor in 2005.

Humenberger is the editor of a series of textbooks and workbooks for mathematics.
