Lucien N. Andriot

Lucien N. Andriot (born November 19, 1892 in Paris , † March 15, 1979 in Riverside County , California ) was a French cameraman.

Life

Lucien Andriot was already working for the film production company Éclair in 1908 , where he shot one of the world's first film series with Nick Carter . At the beginning of World War I , Andriot emigrated to the USA. Collaboration with other French exiles such as Maurice Tourneur was later followed by works for King Vidor and Rouben Mamoulian . The highlights of his cinematic oeuvre are The Man from the South and the Diary of a Maid , both directed by Jean Renoir . From 1951, Andriot worked exclusively for television.
