Johann III. from Bubenberg
Johann III. von Bubenberg (* before 1332 ; † before January 6, 1368 ) came from the Bernese patrician family von Bubenberg and was mayor of Bern and a knight .
Johann the III. was the son of Johann II von Bubenberg and Anna von Grünenberg . He was married to Margaretha von Sumiswald.
In 1339 he was together with knight Burkhard von Bennenwil , councilor of the city of Bern, commander of the fortress Laupen , during the battle of Laupen . In 1342 he became a member of the Bern Council. From 1346 to 1348 the Kyburgian Vogt in Oltigen . From 1364 to 1367 he was mayor of the city of Bern . Johann III. acquired goods in Schangnau and the right to rule Spiez .
