Johann Jakob Scheffmacher

Johann Jakob Scheffmacher (also Jean Jacques Scheffmacher ; born April 27, 1668 in Kientzheim ; † August 18, 1733 in Strasbourg ) was a German Jesuit priest , Roman Catholic theologian and university professor .

Life

Little is known about the family origins and the training of the Scheffmaker. In 1685 he entered the Jesuit order . He initially worked as a teacher. He taught grammar for five years , then philosophy for a year and finally 23 years of teaching preaching at various Jesuit institutions.
