Johann Jakob Schertlin

Johann Jakob Schertlin (born July 22, 1784 in Dornstetten , † October 18, 1855 in Ulm ) was a Württemberg senior bailiff.

life and work

The son of a bailiff trained as a clerk and then worked until 1804 at the Oberamt Kloster Reichbach and the Oberamt Waiblingen in this profession. From 1804 to 1810 he studied camera, forestry and law in Tübingen. In 1810 he worked as a lawyer in Dornstetten. From 1811 to 1813 he was provisional bailiff and administrator at the Dornstetten sub-office and in 1813 provisional actuary at the Balingen supreme office. From 1813 to 1834 he worked as an auditor and regimental quartermaster , including with the Hohenasperg garrison battalion. From 1834 to 1836 he headed the Oberamt Herrenberg as senior administrator and senior administrator and from 1836 to 1851 the Oberamt Waldsee .
