Johann Jakob von Mayr
Johann Jakob von Mayr (born December 13, 1677 in Dillingen an der Donau , † December 7, 1749 ) was a German Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Augsburg .
Life
Johann Jakob von Mayr received the on December 19, 1699 Diakonen- and on 18 December 1700, the ordination for the diocese of Augsburg. From 1715 to 1721 he was vicar general of the diocese.
On December 5, 1718 he was appointed titular bishop of Pergamum and auxiliary bishop in Augsburg. The Prince-Bishop of Augsburg, Alexander Sigismund von der Pfalz , donated him episcopal ordination on January 8 of the following year .
As auxiliary bishop he consecrated numerous churches in the diocese. On February 12, 1741 he donated the episcopal ordination to the new prince-bishop of Augsburg, Joseph Ignaz Philipp von Hessen-Darmstadt .
