Johann Joachim Jörcke
Johann Joachim Jörcke (born May 4, 1684 in Wismar ; † October 17, 1729 in Rostock ) was a German lawyer and First Mayor of Rostock.
Life
Johann Joachim Jörcke was born in 1684 as the son of Wismar councilor Johann Jörcke and his wife Elsabe, geb. Steffens. From 1703 to 1705 he studied law at the University of Rostock and from 1705 to 1707 in Leipzig and Halle. In Halle he received his doctorate in 1907, Dr. iur. utr. He began his professional life in 1707 as a lawyer at the Mecklenburg court in Schwerin and in 1708 in Güstrow . From 1709 he was councilor in Rostock and from 1717 second syndic. In 1726 he was elected mayor of Rostock and first in-house counsel.
Johann Joachim Jörcke married Anna Christina Bonorden on October 25, 1708, the couple had a daughter: Elisabeth Johanna (1716–1728).
