Johann Kaspar Deust
Johann Kaspar Deust (* 1740 in Deutmannsdorf , district of Löwenberg in Silesia ; † August 15, 1790 ) was a Protestant pastor and emerged as a linguist.
Life
Deust was the son of a cottager . At first he wanted to become an organist , but with the support of a pastor and other patrons he was able to attend the Latin school in Hirschberg and study theology in Halle an der Saale since 1761 . He stepped out of lack of money as a steward in the service of the court councilor and professor Seinecii in Legnica . He later switched to the service of Hofrat Müller. In 1774 he took over a pastor's position in Kolzig in what would later become the district of Glogau . He married in 1779.
