Johann Konrad Holzach
Johann Konrad Holzach , also Hans Conrad Holzach (* August 12, 1753 , † April 12, 1826 ) was a Swiss pastor and teacher.
Johann Konrad Holzach, son of a glazier, worked as a tutor for three years after studying theology. In 1784 he became a teacher and vice principal at the grammar school in Basel . 1793-1826 he worked as a pastor in Gelterkinden . 1814-1826 he was dean (head) of the Farnsburg chapter. He made a special contribution to the education system and represented a pedagogy in the sense of Heinrich Pestalozzi . In 1826 he had an accident with his riding carriage and was buried in the Gelterkinder church.
