Johann Levit
Johann Levit (born June 14, 1884 in Horschitz , Northern Bohemia ; † probably in the Theresienstadt ghetto ) was a Bohemian Jew , surgeon and university professor in Prague .
Life
After attending grammar school, he studied medicine at the Karl Ferdinand University in Prague. There he became a surgeon , associate professor of surgery and chief professor of the surgical department of the Municipal Hospital in Prague VIII.
As a lieutenant colonel in health care, he took part in the Serbian-Turkish war in 1912 and in the Serbian-Bulgarian war in 1913 . In 1914 he became a Landsturm doctor .
On June 20, 1942, he was deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto , where he probably died.
Levite was unmarried.
