Johann Mösenbichler

Johann Mösenbichler (born September 5, 1959 in Eberschwang ) is an Austrian musician and conductor . Since May 2006 he has been chief conductor of the Bavarian Police Orchestra and since January 22, 2018 General Music Director of the Bavarian Police.

Life

Mösenbichler teaches at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz the tray Concert line and is a lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna for the Symphonic Band University . He also completed his studies in clarinet (with Karl M. Kubizek), saxophone (with Oto Vrhovnik) and conducting ( Norbert Heinel ) at the above-mentioned institutes. After his studies he developed the concept for the training of wind orchestra conductors at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz. His concert appearances as a guest conductor, as well as the extensive lecturing, teaching and judging activities at various seminars, workshops and competitions have already taken him to Germany , Japan , the Czech Republic , Hungary and America (current seminar offers). In the Upper Austrian Blasmusikverband Mösenbichler was from 1989 as Kapellmeister district of Ried / I. and from 1991 as deputy Regional Kapellmeister active. In 1996 he was appointed general manager of the International Youth Wind Orchestra of WASBE . Since 1997 he has been a member of the board of directors of Mid Europe in Schladming . In 1998 he received the FAME AWARD for outstanding achievements in the interpretation of contemporary music (citation certificate) and the Upper Austrian provincial government honored his achievements with the title of consultant for music care . In 1999 he received the professional title of professor at the Bruckner Conservatory .
