Johann Maria Farina (born March 28, 1958 in Cologne ) is a German entrepreneur , perfumer and pharmacist .

Life

Johann Maria Farina is the eldest son of Johann Maria Wolfgang Farina (1927–2005) and Tina Farina, née Hüber. After his military service with the tank scouts, he trained as an industrial clerk , then trained as a perfumer and then studied pharmacy in Bonn.

Since 1999 Farina has been the managing partner of what is now the oldest eau de Cologne and perfumery factory Johann Maria Farina opposite Jülichs-Platz, founded in 1709 . He is a direct descendant of the founder and belongs to the eighth generation of the company.

Farina has been the City of Cologne's economic ambassador since October 17th, 2005 .

Farina is a reserve officer with the rank of chief pharmacist .
