He was turning point or more precisely Dravenopoly ; Posterity owes one of the few records of the life and language of the Dravenopolis to him .

Parum Schultze wrote his chronicle in Standard German. But it contains a collection of words from the Wendish language.

He was aware that his language was dying out. He wrote in his chronicle: "When it is over with me and three other people in our village, then nobody will really know what a dog is called in Wendish." So he began to record the Wendish language for posterity.

The Rundlingsmuseum in Lübeln dedicated large parts of the exhibition to Johann Parum Schultze and his time. A two-column house that he built in 1710 has been converted into a museum and renovated. The house has also been named after him.

The coastal primary school is called "Johann-Parum-Schultze-Schule" after the village chronicler.
