Johann Philipp von Lamberg (born September 9, 1684 , † November 8, 1735 ) was the Imperial Chamberlain and Colonel Landjägermeister in Tyrol.

Life

Johann Philipp, Reichsgraf von Lamberg, Freiherr zu Ortenegg and Ottenstein, owner of the lordship of Kitzbühel in Tyrol , was the sixteenth child of the count, later prince, Franz Joseph von Lamberg (1637-1712) from his marriage to Anna Maria Countess Trautmannsdorf († 21 April 1727). The Passau prince-bishop Josef Dominikus , the suffragan bishop Franz Alois and the princes Leopold Matthias and Franz Anton were his brothers. His godfather, whose name he also received, was Johann Philipp von Lamberg , a brother of his father. The uncle, appointed Prince-Bishop of Passau in 1689, took care of the training and equipment of his godson, made him his court cavalier and appointed him colonel stable master in 1706 .

He was imperial treasurer and prince-bishop Passau's secret council and chief stableman until the end of 1712, when, after the death of his uncle and father, he inherited the Fideikommiss rulership of Kitzbühel with the Münichau castle and other estates in Tyrol and then became chief regional hunter in Tyrol.

He was married (August 3, 1707) to Maria Josepha Countess Montfort, daughter of Count Johann Anton von Montfort and Countess Maria Victoria von Spaur. The marriage resulted in two children, Philipp Thomas Joseph and Philippina Maximiliana Josepha, who both died in infancy. His goods therefore fell to his brother Hans Ferdinand .
