Johann Sabel

Johann Sabel (born August 4, 1875 in Eitorf ; † January 24, 1932 in Schützen am Gebirge ) was an Austrian politician ( CS ) and Catholic pastor. Sabel was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from 1923 to 1927 and headed the Landtag as the second Landtag President from 1925.

Life

Sabel was born as the son of the businessman Peter Sabel and studied at the universities of Münster , Salzburg and Freilassing. In 1902 he was ordained a priest . He entered the school service and was a grammar school teacher in Germany between 1902 and 1905. After a serious illness, he worked from 1907 as a chaplain in St. Johann , Mosonszentjános of the Diocese of Győr . He was then from 1908 to 1915 city chaplain in Sopron and then from 1915 pastor in Neufeld an der Leitha .

At the same time, Sabel was a member of the Hungarian parliament . After the First World War , Sabel was a member of the steering committee of the Christian Social Party for West Hungary from 1921. Between 1922 and 1929 he was pastor of Mannersdorf an der Rabnitz and from 1929 pastor of Schützen. From November 13, 1923 to May 20, 1927, Sabel was a member of the Burgenland State Parliament and from April 30, 1925 second President of the State Parliament.
