Johann V. (Mecklenburg)
Johann V of Mecklenburg (* 1418 ; † between November 1, 1442 and January 13, 1443 ) was Duke of Mecklenburg from 1436 to 1442 .
Johann V von Mecklenburg was born as the son of the Mecklenburg Duke Johann IV and Katharina von Sachsen-Lauenburg .
After the death of his father and Albert V , he ruled , initially under the reign of his mother Katherina, and from 1436 together with his brother Heinrich IV.
On September 17, 1436 he married Anna of Pomerania-Stettin († after May 14, 1447), the daughter of Casimir V of Pomerania-Stettin. He was probably buried in the Doberan Minster .
