Johann Valentin Thoman
Johann Valentin Thoman (born October 30, 1695 in Mainz ; † December 29, 1777 ibid) was a German architect and engineer in the High Archdiocese of Mainz . As a soldier he served as major general in Mainz and Trier as well as Lieutenant General Field Marshal and Colonel of the Upper Rhine District Infantry Regiment Pfalz-Zweibrücken .
He was involved in many building projects in Trier , Mainz , Gernsheim and Speyer .
