Johann Werner (organ builder)

Johann Werner († around after 1660 ) was an organ builder from Elbing in Prussia.

Life

Johann Werner was possibly a son of the organ builder Peter Werner from Leipzig and a brother of the organ builder Andreas Werner . It was first mentioned around 1630. He built organs in some churches in Polish Prussia and in the Duchy of Prussia , none of which have survived today.
