Johann Wilhelm Leopold von Borcke
Johann Wilhelm Leopold von Borcke (* before 1743; † February 2, 1801 on Landin near Fehrbellin ) was a Prussian major and commander of grenadier battalion No. 3 and heir to the Wangerin estate .
Life
He comes from the Pomeranian line of the Borcke family . His parents were Major General Friedrich Wilhelm von Borcke and his wife Margarethe, née Freiin von Mardefeld.
Borcke served in the infantry regiment "von Anhalt-Dessau" , became a lieutenant there in 1743 and rose to major by February 12, 1780. In August 1780 he received the Grenadier Battalion "von Romberg" stationed in Magdeburg, which was formed from two companies each from the regiments "Jung-Woldeck" and "Gaudi" . In 1784 he was released into retirement.
He was married to Christine Marie Elisabeth von Gersdorff .
