Johann Wilhelm Josef Graf von Mirbach-Harff (born February 3, 1784 in Düsseldorf , † December 23, 1849 in Dresden ) was a co-founder of the " Genossenschaft des Rhenish knight-born nobility " with its headquarters in Bedburg / Erft.

Life

Johann Wilhelm Josef Graf von Mirbach-Harff was the son of Gerhard Johann Wilhelm Josef Freiherr von Mirbach-Harff and his wife Augusta Maria Elisabeth Freiin Velbrück zu Lanquit . His great uncle Karl Joseph von Mirbach (1718–1798) worked as canon in the prince-bishopric of Speyer and held the office of cathedral scholaster at the imperial cathedral in Speyer .

Johann Wilhelm von Mirbach lived at Harff Castle on the Erft near Bedburg . Of a Baron's family Rheinische Uradels coming, he was elevated to the Prussian count conditions. 1840

Johann Wilhelm was married to Antoinette Augusta Franziska Walburga Wolff-Metternich zur Gracht (* 1797, † May 14, 1858) with no children. Therefore, the couple adopted a child of his sister Ottilia, who was married to Maximilian Freiherr von Vorst-Lombeck zu Gudenau, namely the second son Richard Freiherr von Vorst-Gudenau . This took over his name, the title and the coat of arms of those of Mirbach zu Harff with sovereign / royal Prussian approval.
