Johann von Raesfeld

Johann von Raesfeld (* around 1555 - † May 25, 1633 ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Johann von Raesfeld came from the Westphalian noble family von Raesfeld , from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. Its members were followers of the Catholic faith . Johann was the son of Goswin von Raesfeld and his wife Agnes von Twickel. His brother Bitter († 1584) was canon in various dioceses. On February 8th, 1580, Johann was nominated at the presentation of Canon Arnold von Büren for the cathedral priest of Canon Konrad von Westerholt , who had renounced . On October 31, 1584, Johann was also a canon in St. Mauritz in Münster . After a short time he gave up and married Hendrike van Schrieck. His second marriage was to Susanne Maria Wagewijn. The marriage resulted in two sons and two daughters, who founded the Morkirchen family branch .
