Johann von Viermund zu Nordenbeck (also von Virmundt or von Viermünden , * after 1470, † 1510 ) was Lord of Nordenbeck .

He comes from the Hessian noble family von Viermund , which is named after the place Viermünden and resided at the castle Nordenbeck . He is a son of Konrad IV. Von Viermund zu Nordenbeck , Herr von Nordenbeck and Fürstenberg , bailiff von Medebach and his wife Margaretha von Hatzfeld zu Wildenburg. He had two older brothers, Philipp († 1528) and Ambrosius († 1539). When his father died around 1493, his estate was divided among the three brothers. Johann received half of the castle and lordship of Nordenbeck and half of the court in Viermünden . Philipp received the other half of the castle and rule of Nordenbeck, as well as the office of Medebach. Ambrosius received the rule of Fürstenberg.

His brother Philipp acquired the castle Bladenhorst in 1496 by marriage , Ambrosius in 1502 the castle Neersen by marriage , where they founded the family lines Viermund-Bladenhorst and Viermund-Neersen . Johann, however, died childless in 1510. His share in Nordenbeck fell to Philipp, while Ambrosius inherited half of the court in Viermünden.
