from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Konrad (IV.) Von Viermund (also Kurt , * before 1441; † between 1488 and 1493) was lord of Nordenbeck and Fürstenberg , and from 1456 to 1485 pledge and bailiff of Medebach (including Hallenberg , Schmallenberg and Winterberg ). Until 1472 he was also the lender of the castle and office of Freienhagen .

His parents were Konrad III. von Viermund († around 1454) and Lückele von Elben, daughter of Konrad von Elben . He comes from the Hessian noble family Viermund , who came from the place Viermünden , where they owned four farms and some woods as an allod "since ancient times" . Konrad IV also held these possessions and, as a Nassau fief , owned half of the Viermünden court , which at that time comprised seven villages, three further farms and two mills.

He married Margaretha von Hatzfeld zu Wildenburg, daughter of Johann V. von Hatzfeld , Marshal of Westphalia , and Regina von Nesselrode. With her he had seven children:
