Johanna Skalski

Johanna Skalski (born April 28, 1977 in Ruda Śląska , Poland ) is a Polish-German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament from January 6 to June 6, 2017 .

Life and work

In the Upper Silesian born Ruda, Skalski came in the fourth year of Elmshorn , where she started in Langelohe and in 1987 the primary school Bismarck High School attended. After graduating from school, she left the city in 1996 and studied at the University of Bayreuth law . In 2003 she completed her studies with the 1st state examination and completed her legal clerkship at the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court from 2004 to 2006. a. with a stop at a US damage insurer in Chicago . After passing the 2nd state examination in 2007, Skalski set up his own law firm specializing in tax and labor law in Elmshorn.

Political honorary positions

In 2009, Skalsi, although a member of the FDP at the time, ran for the office of mayor in Quickborn at the suggestion of the SPD parliamentary group , but in the runoff election on June 6, 2010, incumbent Thomas Köppl was defeated by only 19 votes behind. In August 2011 she changed parties and joined the SPD. In the municipal elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2013 , she was elected to the Elmshorn city council and is a member of the committee for urban development and the environment.

She is a member of the advisory board of the Elmshorn station mission, member of the supervisory board of the Diakonisches Werk Rantzau-Münsterdorf gGmbH and the supervisory board of Ev.-Luth. Kita-Werks Rantzau-Münsterdorf gGmbH.

MPs

In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2012 , she ran as an SPD candidate for the Pinneberg-Nord state electoral district , but had to admit defeat to MP Peter Lehnert (CDU) with 31.5% of the vote and also moved up to 24th place on the SPD list initially not a member of the state parliament. On January 6, 2017, however, she replaced Lars Winter in the state parliament, who had been elected mayor of Plön in 2016 and renounced his mandate. There she was a member of the Home and Legal Affairs Committee and the Petitions Committee. For the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein 2017 , Skalski was already inferior to another candidate in the internal SPD candidate selection in 2016, so that she was eliminated when the new state parliament met on June 6, 2017.
