Johannes Becher (politician, 1988)

Johannes Becher (born July 2, 1988 in Münchberg ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Becher finished his education at the Karl-Ritter-von-Frisch-Gymnasium in Moosburg an der Isar with the Abitur. He graduated from the University of Regensburg with a degree in law.

In 2007, Becher joined Alliance 90 / The Greens . In 2008 he was elected to the city council of Moosburg an der Isar and the district council in the Freising district.

In the state election in Bavaria in 2018 , Becher achieved the twelfth best overall vote result on the list of the Greens in the constituency of Upper Bavaria and was thus elected to the Bavarian state parliament.

He sits in the state parliament committees “Local issues, internal security and sport”, as well as “Labor, social affairs, youth and family”. He is also spokesman for his group on community issues and early childhood education.

Since 2019 he has been the deputy chairman of the Children's Commission of the Bavarian State Parliament.
