Johannes Boie

Johannes Boie (* 1983 or 1984 ) is a German journalist .

Life

Boie worked from 2004 to 2005 as a copywriter at the advertising agency BBDO . From 2005 to 2008 he studied history at the Free University of Berlin. From 2005 Boie worked as a freelance journalist for Tagesspiegel , Jüdische Allgemeine and Spiegel Online . After completing his studies, Boie initially worked as a volunteer , later a reporter and editor at the Süddeutsche Zeitung, whose paid content he developed and managed.

After completing his internship, he completed a fellowship from the Arthur F. Burns Program, with which he worked as a guest editor at the Los Angeles Times in 2010.

From 2015 to 2016 he completed an MBA course at the Technical University of Munich . From February 2017 he was assistant to Mathias Döpfner , CEO of Axel Springer SE , for two years . Boie has been editor-in-chief of Welt am Sonntag since January 2019 and thus also deputy editor-in-chief of the Welt Group.
