Johannes Kempmann

Johannes Kempmann (born April 15, 1954 in Munich ) is a German politician ( GREEN ) and lobbyist in the German energy industry.

Life

After attending primary school in Munich- Obermenzing , Kempmann graduated from high school in Berlin-Nikolassee . He then studied political science and urban and regional planning at the Technical University of Berlin at the Free University of Berlin . From 1983 to 1986 he worked as an independent city and regional planner. He joined the party Die Grünen in 1982, from 1983 to 1986 he worked in the citizens' initiative for environmental protection Lüchow-Dannenberg, among other things as an honorary press spokesman and the working group Schacht Konrad . From June 15, 1986 to June 20, 1994 he was a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament (11th and 12th electoral terms ). From May 17, 1990 to June 22, 1992 he took over the deputy chairmanship of the parliamentary group of the Greens.

From 1995 to 1997 he worked as managing director of the Energy Agency Saxony-Anhalt; since 1998 he has been the technical director of the Magdeburg municipal works .

Kempmann has been president of the lobbyists' organization, the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), since 2014 .

He has been married to Marianne Tritz since August 19, 2016 .
