Johannes Leiacker
Johannes Leiacker (* 1950 in Landshut ) is a German stage and costume designer.
Life
Johannes Leiacker works worldwide as an outfitter in the opera and drama sector. Engagements led him to the big opera stages, u. a. to the Vienna State Opera , the Opéra National in Paris, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, the National Opera Amsterdam , the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Los Angeles Opera and the opera houses in Madrid, Brussels, Zurich, Helsinki, Moscow and Tokyo. Stage and costume designs were also created for the festivals in Salzburg, Bregenz and Baden-Baden. Johannes Leiacker and Peter Konwitschny (most recently Rihm's Die Eroberung von Mexico at the Salzburg Festival and La Juive at the Opera Vlaanderen Antwerp / Gent) and Christof Loy (most recently Anno Schreier's Hamlet and Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes - International Opera Awards 2016 as "Best production" - at the Theater an der Wien and Ariodante at the Salzburg Whitsun Festival ). The production of Tristan and Isolde , created with Christof Loy at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, won the Laurence Olivier Award in 2010 . Until 2010 he held a professorship at the Dresden University of Fine Arts .
Prizes and awards
