Anno Schreier
Anno Schreier (* 1979 in Aachen ) is a German composer .
Life
From 1990 onwards, Schreier received lessons in piano, violin, organ, composition and composition. 1999–2005 he studied with Manfred Trojahn at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf , 2003/04 at the Royal College of Music London and 2005–2007 in the master class of Hans-Jürgen von Bose at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München . Since 2008 he has been a lecturer in music theory at the Karlsruhe University of Music . In the 2009/2010 season he worked as a “composer for Heidelberg”.
Honors
- 2001 laureate at the "Saarbrücker Composers Workshop"
- 2004 2nd prize at the "Tactus" forum for young composers in Brussels (for three fragments for orchestra )
- 2007 residency at the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop ; Leonhard and Ida Wolf Memorial Prize of the City of Munich
- 2009 winner of the “Teatro minimo” competition at the Zurich Opera House (with behind masks ); Promotion Prize for Music of the Academy of Arts (Berlin)
- 2009/2010 composer for Heidelberg of the Theater & Orchestra Heidelberg
- 2010 Karl Arnold Prize
- 2010 residency at the Deutsche Akademie Villa Massimo in Rome
- 2012 sponsorship award from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for young artists
- 2017 German Music Author Award (Composition Music Theater)
