Johannes Mayr (director)

Johannes Mayr (born November 5, 1974 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) is a German radio play director, radio author and musician.

Life

After school Mayr broadened his horizons through various jobs and a. as an olive seller, tiled stove maker, organic gardener. As a guitarist he played in numerous bands, including a. "Slashin 'Smirks", "Sagenbräu" and "Zombie Wolf". From 2000 he took the four-year course "Experimental Radio" with Ralf Homann at the Bauhaus University Weimar . During his studies he and Mareike Maage entertained the artist group "Odina".

From 2005 to 2006 Mayr completed an internship as a director at Südwestrundfunk in Baden-Baden. Since 2007 he has been working as a director, dramaturge and editor at SRF (Swiss Radio and Television) in Basel.
