style

In her work, Aumüller makes the body the medium and subject of artistic engagement. Her performative videos and staged photographs play with bizarre self-stagings and a parodistic approach to the body, with irritating complexes of action and puzzling rituals. According to ZEIT, your photos, videos and musical works usually have "that degree of fuzziness (...) that evokes stories". In concerts and in her music projects, Aumüller practices "a kind of onomatopoeic poetry that has existed since the Futurists ". Musically she alternates between sound experiments, free jazz and "Velvet underground psychedelia to spherical Krautrock passages with a little shaking electronics".
