Johannes Nar

Johannes Nepomuk Nar (born July 12, 1890 in Jachenau , † December 1, 1964 in Weilheim in Upper Bavaria ) was a German theologian.

Life

Nar, son of the mercenary and raft master Sebastian Nar from Jachenau, studied Catholic theology in Munich and Dillingen on the Danube . In 1916 he was ordained a priest. During the First World War he was used in the medical service. He was a pastor in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and in Augsburg . In 1920 he was the founder of the Catholic youth secretariat in Augsburg and from 1920 to 1964 director of the Diocesan Caritas Association in Augsburg. In 1941 he was appointed monsignor , papal chamberlain and house prelate.

From December 4, 1947 to December 31, 1961, he was a member of the committees for social, health and family policy and was a member of the special committee for the salary law of the Bavarian Senate .
