Johannes Paulsen

Johannes Paulsen (born March 18, 1847 in Witzhave , † July 27, 1916 in Kropp ) was a German pastor who founded the Kropper Anstalten , today's Diakoniewerk Kropp , in 1879 .

Life

Paulsen studied theology in Kiel, Tübingen and Berlin. He was on 20 November 1870 Schleswig Cathedral ordained .

At the age of 23, Paulsen stood on August 7, 1870 as a predicant in the pulpit of the Kropper church. He was now an adjunct to his predecessor Pastor Hansen. Since he had not yet reached the minimum age of 25, he was admitted to the ordination by order of the Minister Heinrich von Mühler .

In 1884 work was added to the newly built orphanage . The old people's home , the insane asylum and the children's home followed . In 1892 the deaconess institution was added.

Paulsen gave sermons in the Low German language and published the Plattdütsche Togav for the Kropper Kirchlichen Anzeiger .

Adalbert Paulsen was his son.
